Our Story

A New Chapter: MYMAX and Australian Owner Manager Become One

For over a decade, MYMAX and Australian Owner Manager have worked side by side to support private business owners. Now, we’re officially bringing everything under one roof – with the launch of a unified brand: MYMAX.

This isn’t a new partnership – it’s a natural evolution in response to what our clients have asked for.

Since 2011, while advising on the Lorna Jane US market entry strategy, Rob Douglas and Chris Robinson have collaborated to equip private business owners with the tools, thinking and support to lead their businesses through growth, change and transition.

With decades of experience building, growing, and exiting businesses themselves, they understand what it really takes to run and scale a mid-sized company in Australia.

Under the MYMAX brand, we bring together what we do best:

  • Develop – Practical programs for owners and their leaders
  • Advise – Hands-on strategic support for growth, change and succession
  • Invest – Access to capital and guidance on exits and maximising value

As Private Business Specialists we’ve stood apart from surface-level seminars and generic frameworks. We challenge outdated norms and academic jargon with practical, business-first thinking. That’s why established business owners across Australia trust us to help expand their vision and move their business forward in a way that makes sense to them.

This isn’t just a new name. It’s about pushing boundaries, challenging thinking, maximising opportunities – we Push Potential.

Our commitment

Transforming the rules of business requires us to push our thinking, and challenge industry limits to realise the potential of business freedom.

We promise to:
